Learn how to set up, use, and connect your Samsung Galaxy Watch to the Metro by T-Mobile network.

To get started:

  • To get started, charge the battery before using your Watch for the first time or when it has been unused for extended periods.
  • Assemble the watch by attaching the band to your watch while pressing the band’s button firmly.
  • Turn on your new watch and wait for the load screen "Get started in the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone.
  • Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone. If the app is not on your smartphone, download it from the Play Store.

First-time use

1. Turn on and charge Galaxy Watch  

  • Connect the wireless charger to the USB power adapter.
  • Place the Watch on the wireless charger aligning the center of your Watch’s backside with the center of the wireless charger.
  • For stable wireless charging, it is recommended to separate the cover or accessory from the Watch.
  • You can check the charging status on the screen during wireless charging. If the charging status does not appear on the screen, on the Apps screen, select Settings > Display and tap the Show charging info switch to turn it on.
  • After fully charging, disconnect the Watch from the wireless charger.

2. Assemble the watch band and wear the watch.  

  • Attach the band to your Watch while pressing the band’s button firmly.
  • Gently pull on both sides of the band to make sure it is tightly connected and not detached from your Watch.
  • Open the buckle and place your Watch around your wrist.
  • Fit the band to your wrist, insert the pin into an adjustment hole, and then secure the buckle to close it. 
  • To measure your physical condition accurately, wear the Watch firmly around your lower arm above the wrist while leaving a finger’s worth of space as shown in the figure.
  • If the sensors on the back of your Watch do not come into contact with your wrist for more than 10 minutes, your Watch may recognise that you are not wearing it on your wrist. 
  • To remove the watchband, push the pin tab inward to release the strap.

3. Set up your Samsung smart watch with a phone

  • When you first turn on your new watch you'll see this message on the watch screen, "Get started in the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone." 
  • Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone. If the app is not on your smartphone, download it from the Play Store.
  • Open the Galaxy Wearable app, go to the menu and tap +Add new device.
  • The app will scan for devices. Tap your new watch on the app screen.
  • Confirm the code on your smartphone and watch.
  • Follow the instructions on your app and watch screen.

Need to add a Metro by T-Mobile Cellular plan?

If you recently purchased your Samsung Galaxy Watch and have not activated service, review the steps to activate your device now.
  • Once you've turned on and setup your Watch, open the Samsung Watch app on your device.
  • In the Samsung Watch App Select Cellular > Set Up Cellular.
  • You will be prompted to sign in to your Metro Account. Enter your Metro by T-Mobile Account PIN.
  • Select a Metro by T-Mobile Watch rate plan > Enter your E911 Address > Enter your Payment Details > Agree to the Terms & Conditions to finish setting up your device.
